That said, I will say that the first time I was looking for it I passed it twice before I realized that that building that didn't really resemble or represent to me anything American was, in fact, the "de facto American embassy."<BR/><BR/>That is my weigh-in...and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Representative Office in D.C. isn't the most amazing "de facto" Taiwan embassy I've ever seen either.
