Actually, Chiasson worked on his research for a while before Menzies book came out. It wasn't based on 1421. Halfway through his research the book came out and that helped him understand currents and Chinese sailing. It's important to note that Chiasson disagrees with Menzies on the details of the ships, leaving the only way in which 1421 supported the idea of this book in the ocean current information.

So glad to read something from someone with an open opinion. I just have to shake my head at so many web sites and comments tearing this down. Most of it seems Eurocentric and mostly ripping at the North America part of the theory.
Instead of attacking the theory with shallow retoric prove something!
I'd like to see what is buried in the "graves" in Canada. Perhaps artifacts left with the dead. A common world wide theme in burials. Any evidence of thier origin?
